PRIOR to their divorce proceedings, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt welcomed six children together.
While the former Oscar-winning couple adopted half of their kids, they also biologically expanded their family three times.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's three biological children are Vivienne, Knox, and Shiloh.
The Bullet Train actor and The Eternals star also have three adopted kids; Maddox, Pax, and Zahara.
Born on May 27, 2006, Shiloh is biologically the eldest child.
Out of all of the kids, Maddox is the eldest; he was born on August 5, 2001, in Cambodia and was adopted by Angelina in 2002.
"Shi’s so full of light and love, she’s just a little honey, and very, very funny," Angelina said of Shiloh.
She told MSN via People: "I think I’m recognizing some of myself in that one, she’s going to be a little bit of trouble!"
Regarding their life together, Angelina said at the time: "I'm very proud of my family.
"I’m proud of Brad as a father and as a man. I’m proud of the home we’ve been able to create for the kids.
"I’m proud of how happy our kids are and how uniquely individual they are…I’m most proud of them."
On July 12, 2008, Angelina gave birth to her and Brad's two youngest kids; twins Knox and Vivienne.
"Viv reminds me of my mother in that she isn’t focused on being the center of attention, but in being a support to other creatives," the Maleficent actress shared of her twins to the abovementioned outlet.
"She’s very thoughtful and serious about theatre and working hard to best understand how to contribute.
"Knox is a lot like Brad, emotionally and physically."
While discussing fatherhood, Brad also commented to Psychologies UK via E! News: "I feel like the richest man alive since I've become a father.
"Being a father has changed me on so many levels and made me more generous and alive.
"I love being a father and all the responsibilities that entails.
"You learn to value the basic beauty of family, of watching your children grow and evolve.
"It's the most beautiful thing you can experience."
On May 26, 2021, both Brad and Angelina were awarded shared custody of their six kids.
At the conclusion of the former couple's custody trial, an insider disclosed to Page Six: "Brad was just trying to have more time with his kids and it has been clear that Angie has done everything possible to prevent this.
"There was a significant change made in the custody agreements based on an extremely detailed decision made by the judge.
"This trial lasted for several months and there were a f**k ton of witnesses, experts, therapists, and other people who have been with the kids and around them, and the decision was based on this.
"Joint custody is not the issue that Angelina objects to.
"There were other issues of concern, but the court proceedings are closed and sealed.
"There was a safety order surrounding the previous custody arrangements, that is public, and the kids' schedule has been set under the jurisdiction of the division of family services for over three years."
